Venkatesh Prasad has criticised Pakistan for ceasefire violations after Pahalgam attack, warning of India's retaliation.

Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad on Thursday took a massive dig at Pakistan, slamming them for continuous ceasefire violations since the Pahalgam attack, besides issuing a warning as to how India will retaliate to their attacks, even as cross-border tensions escalate over the 17 days.
A cloud of uncertainty looms over the future of the ongoing Indian Premier League amidst fears of a larger military conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

Thursday’s game between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was called off because of security reasons after air raid alerts in nearby areas.

The Indian armed forces, in the wee hours of Wednesday, launched precision missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the strongholds of Jaish-e-Mohammed in the Pakistani Punjab city of Bahawalpur.
The strikes were in response to the attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people, tourists, were gunned down.
Not just Prasad, but several Indian sports personalities have condemned Pakistan’s incessant firing and lauded India’s response.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Congress on Friday condemned Pakistan for targeting Jammu and other areas in the region with missiles and drones on Thursday night.
India on Thursday night thwarted Pakistan’s fresh attempts to strike military sites with drones and missiles, including in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur, after foiling similar bids at 15 locations across the northern and western regions of India.
