While Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajkummar Rao started singing Chor Bazari perfectly, things quickly took a funny turn when the actress forgot the lyrics.
After their successful partnership in the Stree franchise, Rajkummar Rao and producer Dinesh Vijan have teamed up once again for the upcoming film Bhool Chuk Maaf. Last month, the makers released a new version of Chor Bazari Phir Se, originally from the 2009 movie Love Aaj Kal. In a fun twist, Rajkummar and co-star Wamiqa Gabbi recently teamed up to sing the track together. While they started perfectly, things quickly took a funny turn when Wamiqa forgot the lyrics. She continued singing the wrong words with confidence, which left Rajkummar confused and almost judging her for messing up such an iconic song.
Rajkummar and Wamiqa came together for Spotify India, who shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “If you can’t sing it right, sing it loud. MARRIAGE IS SCARY, WHAT IF THEY DON’T KNOW THE LYRICS TO THIS SONG."

Speaking with Times Now about Chor Bazari Phir Se, Tanishk Bagchi, who composed the track with Pritam for Bhool Chuk Maaf, said, “Chor Bazari Phir Se was never in the plan, but looking at the response to it in the trailer, we decided to take it forward. Dinesh Vijay decided to recreate it, and I did it. It is important to have the same feel. At the same time, the new generation has to relate to it. Chor Bazari is a modern song. It was ahead of its time. I didn’t have to do much. We just changed the groove, added a folk element to it, and it worked. I have retained the singers Neeraj Shridhar and Sunidhi Chauhan. We introduced Zarah S Khan to the song."
The Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer was originally set to release in theatres today, May 9. However, because of the growing tensions between India and Pakistan, the makers have decided to change their plans. Instead of a big screen release, the movie will now premiere directly on Amazon Prime. Fans can watch it on the streaming platform from May 16.
