Virat Kohli sends heartfelt message to Indian Army amidst India-Pakistan tensions.

Ace India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli sent a heartfelt message for the Indian Army as the military tensions between India and Pakistan increase, saying that the country stands in solidarity with the armed forces, extending his gratitude.

Pakistan’s armed forces launched several attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire western border on the intervening night of May 8-9, which were “repulsed" by the Indian Army.

    Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League was on Friday suspended because of the escalating military confrontation between India and Pakistan, with a BCCI official saying that continuing the event in the current situation wouldn’t look right.

    “We stand in solidarity with and salute our armed forces for fiercely protecting our country in these difficult times. We are forever indebted to our heroes for their unwavering bravery and heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices they and their families make for our great nation. Jai Hind," Kohli wrote on a post on his Instagram account.

    Pakistani troops resorted to “numerous ceasefire violations" along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir as well, the Indian Army said in a morning post on X.

    The Indian Army shared a small video with the post, asserting that all nefarious designs will be responded to with force.

    A cloud of uncertainty had loomed over the future of IPL 2025 since the cancellation of Thursday’s game between the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala, midway after air raid alerts in neighbouring cities of Jammu and Pathankot.
