Tanmay Nagar has joined Pushpa Impossible. In the show, he plays a negative character named Arjun Shekhawat. In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Tanmay opened up about joining the show, which also stars Karuna Pandey in the lead. He revealed that he decided to take up this project because he resonated with the role of Arjun.
“I don’t jump into things without clarity. For me, it’s never about how big the show is…. It’s about what the character stands for. I need to feel aligned with the person I’m going to portray. When I read about Arjun Shekhawat, I saw a man who doesn’t compromise on his beliefs, who values honesty over convenience. That made the decision easier. It wasn’t just a role …it was a mindset I resonated with," he told us.

The young actor mentioned that he wasn’t nervous but “alert" when he started to work for Pushpa Impossible. Revealing the reason behind the same, Tanmay said, “I like to understand a new environment – how people work, the rhythm of the set, the unspoken energy. I’m someone who observes before reacting. The Pushpa team made that process easy. There’s discipline here, but also heart. That combination helped me settle in quickly and focus entirely on the character."
“And as an actor, I believe in my craft. I don’t overthink what others are doing; I focus on my job and approach my role honestly. I know what I have to bring to the show and how to play my character. When these things are clear in an actor’s mind, there’s no space for nervousness. But if still a little nervous energy if it’s there then can sometimes create magic. It keeps you present and sharp," he added.
Tanmay also expressed gratitude to the show’s lead, Karuna, and shared that she was very welcoming. “Karuna ji was actually the first person who gave me a warm and heartfelt welcome on set. There was no formality, just pure kindness. She made it very easy for me to feel comfortable from day one. Over time, I’ve found that I speak to her the most. We connect on many levels — from work to life and I genuinely learn a lot from her. Her perspective, her calm energy, and her humility have taught me things both as an actor and as a person," he said.
“And when it comes to her craft, Karuna ji brings honesty to her performance, and you can feel it the moment you’re in a scene with her. She doesn’t just act she listens, she responds, and that makes every interaction real. There’s a grace and depth to her energy, and when you’re playing a character like Arjun someone who thrives on truth and directness, working with someone so grounded makes the experience not just smooth, but deeply meaningful and impactful," the actor concluded.
