Squid Game 3 Teaser Confirms Gi-Hun’s Return And June 27 Premiere

Netflix is all set to bring back the much-awaited Squid Game series for a third season. Netflix Korea has recently shocked the fans as they dropped an unexpected announcement about Squid Game season 3 on their social media platforms. The video featured the cast members, including Lee Jung-Jae, Park Sung-Hoon, Wi Ha-Joon, and others passing on a card to each other. At the end of the teaser, the card revealed the teaser release date as May 6, 2025.
Netflix Korea took to Instagram to share this short video and captioned it, “Smile, we have something special for you." The teaser is released on May 6, while the full trailer is expected to arrive at the end of May. As soon as the video dropped, fans couldn’t hold their excitement and rushed to the comment section.

A moment later he awakens realizing that he has been dragged into the twisted game once again. Many fans believed that Gi-Hun would be eliminated from season 3, but to their surprise the makers have introduced him again in this series, forcing the character to endure the intense psychological burden. Among other visuals, the audience can witness player 222 possibly giving birth in the season. This emotional turn of events may raise a series of questions seeking the answers to how motherhood would impact the game. Moreover, the teaser also features a new game where players take turns spinning a gumball machine to receive a ball. The scene further shows a mother and son duo pulling different colored balls, hinting at the devastating outcome. At the end of the teaser, it was shown that the series will premiere on Netflix on June 27.
After the cliffhanger ending of season 2, the anticipation level among the fans is much higher as they continue to look forward to the fate of Gi-Hun.
