PIB Debunks Videos Circulated By Pro-Pakistan Handles On Operation Sindoor: ‘False Claims’
The PIB debunked several widely circulating videos, clarifying that the clips do not depict what they are alleging to.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) issued several warnings about the spread of misinformation in the wake of India’s “Operation Sindoor." The PIB debunked several widely circulating videos, clarifying that the clips do not depict what they are alleging to. Sharing a false claim of a Pakistani attack on an Indian military colony claimed by some social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter), PIB confirmed that the video is, in fact, an old video from Indonesia, dated May 6th, 2025.
This means that the video was recorded before Operation Sindoor was even launched. The PIB is urging the public to be cautious of unverified information circulating online and to rely on official sources for accurate updates regarding Operation Sindoor and related events.

Operation Sindoor- launched by India in response to a terror attack in Pahalgam- involved precision strikes against terrorist infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The operation targeted key facilities and leaders of terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. India characterized Operation Sindoor as a measured and targeted response, aimed at degrading the capabilities of these terrorist organizations and preventing future attacks. The Indian military emphasized that the operation was conducted to avoid civilian casualties and did not target Pakistani military installations.
