In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam and escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border, the Maharashtra Government has taken a proactive step by introducing disaster management training for thousands of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) students across the state. The initiative, a collaboration between the Department of Skill Development and Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management, was launched today by Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha at the Rajmata Jijau ITI in Thane.
The training programme aims to equip students with life-saving skills to manage both natural and human-made disasters, including those arising during times of conflict. “Disaster management is not just a necessity, it’s a civic responsibility," said Minister Lodha.
