Lewis Hamilton Goes Unfiltered As Ferrari's Woes Continue: 'I Was Frustrated'
Lewis Hamilton expressed frustration with Ferrari's strategies at the Miami Grand Prix, finishing behind Charles Leclerc in P8.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who currently drives for Ferrari, has said that he could see Charles Leclerc struggling in front of him, but he couldn’t get past him because of the team’s strategies, as he went on to lose some seconds, which left him frustrated at the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, May 4.
Leclerc and Hamilton swapped positions with each other twice during the race to maximise the result, but to no avail.

“Leclerc was struggling in front of me with the compound I had before; I lost a lot of seconds, and obviously, I was frustrated. It’s not that I wasn’t happy with the management, but it wasn’t clear what the team wanted to do," Hamilton said while speaking after the race, in which he finished eighth behind Leclerc.
Both the Ferrari drivers said that they were the better one to go and attack the driver in front and asked the team to go for a swap.
It began with Leclerc, who was ordered to give his position to Hamilton so that the latter could go and attack Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli for P6.
In the end, Leclerc came home in P7, ahead of Hamilton in P8. The latter, in his first season with the Italian side, expressed frustration with his team’s tactics multiple times during the race, after he was instructed to let Leclerc pass him.
Hamilton had himself been permitted in front of his teammate, but was unable to take advantage of that position with Leclerc closing the gap.
Some of Hamilton’s comments to his side were cutting, but he played down the exchanges.
“I lost a lot of time behind Charles, and in that moment, I was thinking, let’s make a concise decision and not waste time. I’m sure people didn’t like certain topics, but you’ve got to understand it’s frustrating, people say way worse things than I say, it was more sarcastic than anything," Hamilton said.
