Indian Idol 12 Winner Pawandeep Rajan Recovering Well Post-Surgery, Says Friend
Pawandeep Rajan, the winner of Indian Idol Season 12, will require another surgery for the rest of his injuries.
Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan is recovering well after his accident. The mishap unfolded on May 5 when Pawandeep’s MG Hector collided with an Eicher Canter truck near Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad. The singer and two others were initially rushed to a nearby hospital, but later, they were referred to an advanced facility in Delhi for better care. Pawandeep sustained multiple injuries on his legs, head and shoulder.
Pawandeep’s team shared an update on his health condition on Tuesday. The statement revealed that Pawandeep underwent a six-hour surgery and would need to be operated on again in three or four days for the rest of the fractures and injuries.

“After a lot of diagnosis and examinations, he was taken into the operation theatre around 7 PM, and after six hours, some of his major fractures were successfully operated on. He is currently in the Medical ICU under observation," the now-disappeared Instagram story read further.
Pawandeep, who was admitted to the ICU, seems to have been shifted to a private room. His close friend and musician, Govind Digari, recently shared a picture of Pawandeep on Instagram. The photograph showed Pawandeep lying on the hospital bed, surrounded by his family members and friends. “Thanks to all your blessings, Pawan is now doing well," Digari wrote in the caption.

The post went viral in no time, catching the attention of many fans who wished for the singer’s speedy recovery. One of them said, “Pawan is our lion. No matter what challenges come his way, he battles them with sheer courage. May god help him recover soon."
“I’m saddened to see Pawan in this condition. But I believe you will get well soon and come back stronger. We all stand by you," added another. One user urged, “I have a humble request to all fans, please keep our multi-talented, innocent, amazing rockstar, Pawandeep, in your prayers."
A fan said, “Pawan is our brave champ. He can fight against all odds with his sweet smile. Get well soon, rockstar." “It might be hard to see it now, but better days are coming," hoped another.
After winning the Indian Idol Season 12 in 2021, Pawandeep featured on Superstar Singer 2 as a mentor. He has treated fans with many soulful tracks, including Yaad, Fursat, Mazoor Di, Tere Liye and O Saiyyonii.
