In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, rapper Asim Riaz informed his fans that he is now postponing the release of his new song. The reality TV star, who is known for his fiery personality and public feuds, took to his Instagram account to share the new date of the launch of his song, I Don’t Give A Damn, with his millions of fans.

On Wednesday, May 7, Asim dropped a post on his Instagram Stories, announcing his decision to delay due to the tensions between India and Pakistan. He wrote, “Due to current tension between the two nations, I have decided to postpone my song release by a week. New date is 14 May." According to a post shared by Asim, the rapper, who is collaborating with Rajat Dalal in his new song, was supposed to release I Don’t Give A Damn on Friday, May 9 at 10 AM. However, the recent events have led him to change the release date to May 14.

The postponement came after India launched counter-terror attacks on Pakistan between May 6 and 7. Operation Sindoor, led by the Indian Armed Forces, is a “measured" and “non-escalatory" retaliatory strike targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The mission has been hailed by many celebrities, who stood in solidarity with the armed forces and the nation during such challenging times.

Previously, Asim had also shared an X post, condemning the cowardly attacks on tourists in Jammu 7 Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22. The terror attack reportedly claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists. Taking to his account a day later, the former Bigg Boss contestant wrote, “A valley of beauty turned into a scene of horror. Kashmir cries tonight, and so do we. Terror stole lives, futures, peace. I condemn this heinous act and pray for strength to those left behind."
